CCTV shoots program on Wudang Mountains

A crew of the Chinese-language overseas channel, CCTV-4, came to shoot a 55-min episode for the program Liuxing Wuxian at Wudang Mountains in Shiyan city, Central China’s Hubei province, on September 2, wudangshan.gov.cn reported.

The crew is spending a week at Wudang Mountains, and they have already interviewed Master Zhong Yunlong, a 14th generation disciple of the Wudang Sanfeng Sect, with the aim of covering the development and current situation of Wudang kung fu.

The program will be aired on CCTV-4 in January 2014, and viewers in China, the U.S. and Europe will have the opportunity to learn more about Wudang kung fu.

The program will also offer the local authorities a good chance to exhibit the area’s tourist resources and increase the visibility and influence of Wudang Mountains.
